Account · Delete
Delete your Atona account.
Two paths — from inside the app, or by email if you've lost access. Either way, your data is removed within minutes, not days.
From the app
This is the fastest path. You'll need to be signed in.
iOS · Android
- Open Atona and go to Settings.
- Under Privacy & Trust, tap Privacy & data.
- Scroll to Your data and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm by entering your password.
The deletion runs immediately. You'll be signed out of every device you were using Atona on, and any in-flight Atona-handled email or message activity stops at once.
By email
If you can no longer sign in — lost device, forgotten password and lost access to your reset email — you can request deletion directly.
Send a request
Email [email protected] with the subject line "Delete my account".
Send it from the email address associated with your Atona account. We'll verify ownership, complete the deletion, and confirm by reply within 5 business days. If we can't verify the request belongs to the account, we'll write back asking for additional confirmation rather than acting on it.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, the following are removed from Atona:
- Your profile — name, phone number, addresses, birthday, profile text.
- Your password and all active sessions, on every device.
- All emails Atona handled on your behalf — drafts, sent messages, replies, and the cloud archives backing them.
- Conversation history with Atona across every channel — chat, voice calls, meetings, SMS, WhatsApp, iMessage.
- Atona's memory of your contacts, preferences, and standing instructions.
- Your dedicated assistant phone number — released back to the carrier pool, no longer reachable.
- Your linked Google and Microsoft accounts — Atona's access tokens are revoked at Google and Microsoft directly, so a leaked backup couldn't resurrect access.
- Stored credentials for any other connected service (Notion, etc.).
What's retained, and why
Two narrow exceptions, both explicitly designed to protect your privacy:
- Your assistant email alias (e.g. [email protected]) is reserved, not reused. If a future Atona user happens to share your name, they'll get a different alias — never one that previously belonged to you. Mail sent to your old alias bounces.
- Operational logs that have been scrubbed of personal information at write time. Email addresses, phone numbers, and authentication tokens are stripped from logs as they're written, so what remains is anonymous diagnostic information — no content, no identity.
That's it. There is no "soft-delete" recovery window — once you confirm, the deletion is final.
Subscriptions and billing
If you have an active paid subscription, deleting your account stops future charges. Past charges are not refunded automatically — for refund questions, email [email protected] before deleting.
